Who and How?

My name is Kevin Cotter and I work as a storyteller, farm based educator and local food shopkeeper! I used to be a teacher but decided to leave the classroom behind in order to reflect on what is important in education and explore a range of interesting projects involving storytelling, farm based learning and local food!

I work with ...

I work closely with organicARTS and Harvest Workers Coop. Both organisations share the focus of engaging people's interest in and awareness of food, farming and the environment.

OrganicARTS develops projects involving art, education and rural issues from its base at West Town Farm, Ide.

Harvest Workers Coop is based in Okehampton running an organic farm shop in the middle of the town and developing a whole range of community food activity!

... and most especially

I work with my wife, Jo Cotter, on enthusiastic and creative play and education projects linked with food, farming and the natural world.

How does it work?

I can visit for a little as half an hour pop in tale up to a project extended over a season.

How much does it cost?

Rates are negotiable but are generally around £150 / day.

Shorter sessions are priced through negotiation and discussion!

I am keen to work in interesting ways with interesting people and am therefore engaged in identifying funding to support the projects. The best work comes from established relationships and these need time to grow.

When can sessions take place?

Whenever you like providing there is space in the diary! The best thing to do is drop me an email saying what you are interested in and we can work from there. I look forward to hearing from you!
